Visual Arts

Visual arts were an important part of the suffragists ‘orderly propaganda’.

The Game Changer groups then focused on a modern equivalent to those visual materials. They identified how T-shirts have become a wearable canvas that can display campaigning slogans and images in the same way that sashes, badges and rosettes did. The groups then took part in screen-printing workshops to create their own images for T-shirts. They made prints that reflected the need to still continue fighting for gender equality as well as other issues relevant to them such as climate change and youth leadership.
